Located off the Strip, on Paradise Road (in the area known to locals as the “Fruit Loop”), the Piranha Nightclub takes gay nightlife to an all new level - two levels, in fact! And both of them have been elaborately designed to instantly propel visitors into the raucous and erotic fantasy world that is “Piranha!”
Incredible laser displays, fantastic light shows, billowing cloud machines, holographic portraits, and plasma televisions all combine to tantalize the senses, while the music erupting from the powerful sound system sends pulsing waves of energy throughout the space, and out over the gigantic dance floor.
This is extravagance at its best! And watching over it all - fierce gargoyles looking down - and fierce fishes (real piranhas) looking out!
No detail is left to chance in this magical manse - from its soaring sky-boxes to its lush patio to its super-charged dancefloor.
If you find yourself in Las Vegas, don’t miss this amazing venue!
And just where did this futuristic vision of a nightclub originate? The Piranha Nightclub is the heart and soul project of Paul San Filipo, who also owns the 8 1/2 Lounge, Suede, and Gipsy.
Filipo considers Piranha “as much a labor of love” as it is a business venture, and is proud of the fact that he is both a Las Vegas local, and a member of the gay community. The 8 1/2 Lounge, which adjoins the Piranha Nightclub, is also new and recently opened, and San Filipo has plans in the works for his other two venues, Suede and Gipsy.
There’s always a lot of hype
when a new nightclub opens,
and in the case of the Piranha Nightclub,
the latest addition to gay nightlife in Las Vegas, it’s ALL deserved.
This is one amazing place!
And not just in terms of what it adds to the gay nightlife in Las Vegas, either!
I’d put Piranha up against any nightclub, anywhere, in terms of decor, atmosphere, energy, and overall impact!
